MY STORY

I began playing the harp when I was just seven years old. My parents read a newspaper ad offering inexpensive harp lessons and within a week I was started with what turned out to be one of my greatest passions in life. From the minute I touched those thick strings I knew my fingers were destined to play the harp. Now, nearly two decades later, plucking those strings is like breathing to me. I can't imagine doing anything else. My goal is to share this kind of passion with my students.
Outside of the studio, I work as a fifth grade teacher. In 2015, earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Portland with a major in early childhood and elementary education, and a minor in music. I went on to graduate with my Master of Education degree from the University of Portland in 2018. When I'm not playing the harp, I work as a fourth grade teacher. I have seven years of teaching experience and have brought music instruction into the classroom at every opportunity.

LESSONS I PROVIDE

MUSIC FOR ALL AGES, IN YOUR HOME OR MINE

CHILDREN'S HARP LESSONS

Starting at $20 per Thirty Minute Lesson

As an educator for over seven years, I understand how the child's brain works and how to motivate children. With my unique approach, your child will feel successful as he or she becomes increasingly passionate about the harp and general music. These lessons pair well with music theory instruction. Siblings may be taught together for an additional fee.

GENERAL MUSIC CLASSES

Prices and Availability May Vary

Although understanding music theory is not essential to learning the harp, it definitely helps. That's why I offer an additional class focusing on music theory. Topics include note reading, basic rhythm, aural skills, and music appreciation.  These classes are available to the general public, but focus around harp, keyboard, and voice.
